Fatal Hit-And-Run Investigated In New Haven
The victim was hit by two vehicles, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in New Haven over the weekend, according to police.
Shaneka Woods, 38, was struck around 3 a.m. in the roadway at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Ella T Grasso Boulevard, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
Woods was then struck by another motorist who remained on scene to speak with police. Woods was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

"Crash Investigators from the department’s specialized team responded and have opened their case," Hartman said. "They are urging anyone who may have witnessed this crime or who may have valuable information, to phone detectives at 203-946-6304. Calls may be made anonymously."
