FatFace Opens on Broadway at The Shops at Yale
Yale University Properties held a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome FatFace.

From the Shops at Yale University Properties: Yale University Properties held a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00pm to welcome FatFace to The Shops at Yale in the Broadway Shopping & Dining District. The ceremony took place at 37 Broadway, near Urban Outfitters and J.Crew.
Introduced in 1988, founders Tim Slade and Jules Leaver began FatFace by selling sweatshirts and T-shirts out of their campervan on a skiing trip at La Face, Val d’lsere — a popular ski mountain in France, with La Face being the inspiration for the brand’s name. They opened their first retail store in 1992 in southwest London. By 2016, FatFace had nearly 230 stores and began expanding into the United States.
FatFace is an authentic British brand, providing stylish apparel and accessories for men, women and children. They use only high-quality fabrics and materials, making their clothing comfortable, wear well and last long. Their tripartite approach to sustainability is at the core of their business model – sourcing responsibly to create sustainable products, protecting the environment and supporting local people and communities (fatfacecorporate.com/sustainability.php).
