Faxon Law New Haven Road Race Expects Over 6,000 Participants - New 1/2 Marathon & Relay added!
The 2016 Faxon Law New Haven Road Race anticipates over 6,000 runners to take part in the half marathon, relay, 20k, 5k and Kids Fun Run.
New Haven, CT: The 2016 Faxon Law New Haven Road Race anticipates over 6,000 runners to take part in the half marathon, 2-person relay, 20k, 5k and First Niagara Bank Kids Fun Run. The event was recently named New Haven’s Best Local Annual Event by New Haven Living Magazine. The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is again hosting the USATF 20k National Championship featuring a number of elite runners and past champions.
Race organizers are excited about the addition of half marathon and 2-person ½ marathon relay. Faxon Law New Haven Road Race President, John Courtmanche, states, “We’ve been fortunate to continually grow and improve throughout our history. The race’s continued success reflects the significant and meaningful support that we receive from the City of New Haven administration and their employees, as well as from the running community itself.”
The New Haven Road Race offers several perks including tech tees to the first 6,000 entrants. The race is limited to 7,500 entrants. All half marathon and 20k finishers receive a commemorative finisher’s medal. Participants are strongly encouraged to register before the race. Included in the registration fee is a delicious & refreshing post-race party featuring beer from Harpoon Brewery, Turkey Hill Ice Cream, The Farmer's Cow chocolate milk, Yasso Frozen Yogurt, Deep River snacks, Chabaso Bread & more! Participants can also enjoy live music and inflatables on Labor Day. Participants can register online at newhavenroadrace.org.

The half marathon and 20K includes pacers to help runners reach their goals. We encourage runners who are striving to run a goal time to join their desired pace leader throughout the race. Pacers will be running goal minute per mile times of 7:00-10:00 minutes/mile. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming a pace leader, please contact maggie@jbsports.com.
