Fired Golden Corral Employee Threatened To 'Shoot' Up Eatery: PD
Police say it was the New Haven man's first and last day on the job.

MILFORD, CT — There was a scary scene at Golden Corral on Saturday involving a recently fired employee, Milford Police said. Officers were called to the popular eatery located at 74 Turnpike Square on a report of a threatening incident, police said.
Police said a man, later identified as Melvin James, 21, of Orchard Street in New Haven, said he was going to "shoot the place up" following been recently fired from his position at the restaurant. He had started his first shift at the restaurant earlier that day, police said.
He is charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
