Former New Haven Chief To Join Yale PD

Former New Haven Police Chief Anthony Campbell will join Yale PD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Former New Haven Police Chief Anthony Campbell will be back in uniform in the city, but this time under the Yale Police Department.

Campbell will join as the assistant chief of operations, according to the New Haven Register. Campbell left New Haven's force in March after 21 years and joined the State Attorney's Office in New Haven.

Campbell is a Yale University graduate and holds a bachelors degree and a masters in divinity. One of his focus areas at YPD will be on community policing, according to the New Haven Independent.
