Iconic New Haven Pizzeria Begins Takeout Service
In a break with tradition, a pizzeria is filling takeout orders.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Breaking with longstanding tradition, Sally's Apizza has started takeout service, The New Haven Register reported. The restaurant was among the first in New Haven to close due to the pandemic.
"Due to recommendations from local authorities, Sally’s will be moving to take out & pick up service only," reads a notice at Sally's website. "Our dining room is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. To pick up food – Please visit the delivery entrance immediately to the left of Sally’s. Or, park in our lot and an attendant will help guide you through the process from a safe distance."
Takeout and pickup service is available via the website or by calling 203-624-5271. Beginning later this week, customers will also be able to order for delivery through or through DoorDash Uber Eats, and Grubhub.
