Initially Confused About Where, Door Dash Driver Shot In New Haven: PD
At 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, a food delivery driver was shot during an attempted robbery, near the border of East Haven and New Haven, per cops.

NEW HAVEN, CT — It was 3:30 in the morning Wednesday. A Door Dash driver, who initially believed the food drop off was in East Haven, reported to police that he was the victim of an attempted carjacking, authorities said. The man said that during the "confrontation" he was shot, and despite the injury, drove to West Haven, authorities said.
He was taken by ambulance to Yale New Haven Hospital and was met there by New Haven cops.

"According to the victim's account, he had been delivering for Door Dash in East Haven when he was approached by unknown individuals who attempted to steal his vehicle. In the ensuing confrontation, the victim sustained a gunshot wound. Despite his injuries, the victim managed to drive back home to West Haven and then contacted the police. Upon arrival at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven detectives interviewed the victim to gather more details about the incident. It was during this questioning that the victim mentioned being shot in East Haven. Subsequently, East Haven Police Department was contacted and took over the investigation".
Dell said East Haven police interviewed the man again, and this time, he claimed that he had been shot in New Haven, specifically in Fair Haven.

"To gather more information, the East Haven Police Department accompanied the victim as they drove around Fair Haven. During this process, the victim pointed out that the intersection of Ferry Street and Pierpont Street was where the shooting had taken place," Dell said.
