Jury Finds New Haven Man, 58, Guilty In 2018 Rape, Assault: Prosecutor
A jury convicted David Britto in connection with the rape of a woman in a car in the summer of 2018 in New Haven, the state's attorney said.
NEW HAVEN, CT —A 58-year-old New Haven man was convicted of rape in a violent 2018 assault, prosecutors said.
A jury found David Britto guilty of first-degree sexual assault, first degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault, according to New Haven State's Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.
According to evidence introduced at trial, Doyle said, Britto restrained the victim inside a vehicle, punched her in the head and sexually assaulted her on July 19, 2018 in New Haven.

Britto is set to be sentenced Aug. 21 in New Haven Superior Court.
