Man Assaulted, Run Over By Car In New Haven: Police

A man suffered serious injuries after he was assaulted then run over by a car in New Haven, according to police.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after they say a man was "intentionally assaulted and run over by a silver motor vehicle."

At 1:18 p.m. on Thursday, the New Haven Fire Department and A.M.R. responded to the area of 85 Laura Street for a medical call.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had been "intentionally assaulted and run over by a silver motor vehicle," police said in a news release. The victim was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

"The New Haven Police Department is investigating the incident and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect vehicle," police said. "The vehicle is described as a silver Infiniti. The vehicle was last seen fleeing Laura Street onto Forbes Avenue."
