Man Charged With Murder In Fatal Shooting Of New Haven Man, 49: PD
Sean Peterson died from a gunshot wound while being treated in the hospital. Cops charged the driver of the car, William Brown, with murder.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Last Friday, just after noon, a 911 caller told cops that a person had been shot in their vehicle and was being transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. When officers got to the hospital, they found an Acura MDX at the emergency room entrance and "secured the vehicle as a crime scene," according to New Haven police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell.
The victim, who police identified as 49-year-old Sean Peterson, succumbed to a single gunshot wound to the left rib cage while receiving medical treatment in the emergency department, Dell said.
Investigators from the NHPD's Investigative Services Division and the Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and conducted a thorough investigation, which included interviews with witnesses, Dell said.
