Man Accused Of Setting Fires At 2 New Haven Motels: Police
Terence Bogan, 44, was charged in connection with the September fires at the Three Judges Motor Lodge and New Haven Inn, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man is facing multiple charges after authorities said he intentionally set fires at two New Haven motels in September, according to police.
Terence Bogan, 44, was charged with first-degree arson, reckless burning and reckless endangerment after police said he set fires at the Three Judges Motor Lodge and New Haven Inn.
Bogan was arrested after police released his photo to the public and identified him as a suspect in connection with the fires, police said.

"This case highlights the importance of collaborative efforts between police and community. The community played an essential role in identifying Bogan," New Haven police said in a statement. "This is a true testament of what can be done when we all work together for the betterment of the City of New Haven.
According to police, authorities were called to the Three Judges Motor Lodge, 1560 Whalley Ave.,shortly after midnight on Sept. 22 for a report of a fire. About 30 minutes later, another fire was reported at the New Haven Inn, located at 100 Pond Lily Ave., police said.

Following an investigation, authorities deemed both fires suspicious and identified Bogan as a suspect, according to police.
Bogan was arrested Tuesday and is currently being held on a $700,000 bond.
