Man Riding Bike Grazed By Bullet, One of Several Fired Tuesday: Police
A man riding his bike in the area of Dixwell Avenue near Henry Street heard gunshots and then, he told cops, felt a "burning sensation."

NEW HAVEN, CT —Tuesday night around 8:30 p.m., a man riding his bike in the area of Dixwell Avenue near Henry Street heard gunshots and then, he told cops, he felt a "burning sensation."
Police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell said officers were alerted by ShotSpotter to four gunshots in the area and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. Taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment, Dell said it was determined that the injury was a superficial abrasion.
Dell said investigators examined video surveillance and found 21 fired cartridge casings in the area. No other witnesses to the incident were located, she said.
