Mayor, Police Chief Hold Public Safety Town Hall Meeting Tuesday Night

At FAME Tuesday at 7 p.m., residents can share thoughts, suggestions, and ask questions about city, cops' plans to strengthen public safety.

NEW HAVEN, CT —New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker and Police Chief Karl Jacobson will host the second of three public safety town hall community meetings Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Family Academy of Multilingual Exploration, FAME, 255 Blatchley Ave.

The town halls are open community meetings and conversations. Residents can meet the new police chief, sworn in on July 6, hear more about the city’s vision and plans to strengthen public safety and share thoughts, suggestions, and questions.

Also discussed will be the recent incident involving Richard “Randy” Cox and the actions the City and New Haven Police Department are "taking to help ensure an incident like this never happens again."

The public safety town halls are scheduled in different neighborhood across the city:

  • Tuesday, July 26th at 7 p.m. at Family Academy of Multilingual Exploration (FAME), 255 Blatchley Ave.
  • Wednesday, August 3rd at 7 p.m. at James Hillhouse High School, 480 Sherman Ave.
