Men Directly Linked To K2 Overdoses: New Haven PD
More than 100 ambulance hospital transports were made during the overdose epidemic.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Police say the two men arrested after the K2 overdose epidemic on the New Haven Green were identified by victims and witnesses as selling or distributing the drugs.
As of Monday afternoon there were 47 people who overdosed on K2. Several went back for seconds or more and subsequently overdosed for a total of 108 ambulance transports to hospitals. Most overdoses occurred Aug 15.
Felix Melendez and John Parker both of New Haven were arrested last week. Parker was charged with possession of controlled substances and the sale of hallucinogens - both with the intent to sell/ distribute. To sign up for New Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Melendez was charged with possession of controlled substances and the sale of hallucinogens - both with the intent to sell/ distribute. This is Melendez’ thirty-eighth arrest.
"Both have been directly linked to the sale and/or distribution of K2 to some of those victims," said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. "This case remain under investigation. More arrests are possible."
