NEW HAVEN, CT — On Saturday, New Haven had reported 180 confirmed cases of COVID-19. By Sunday, that number had jumped to 241, NBC CT reported. Nine people in the city have died from the virus—six of those reported on Sunday.
The city is also using a reporting tool for coronavirus-related complaints. SeeClickFix now allows for people to directly report incidents of businesses violating guidelines to the New Haven Health Department, WFSB reported.
Mayor Justin Elicker said in a press conference that the city is receiving complaints that some grocery stores are not abiding by the rules. He said it is critical that they do and the city could resort to shutting down stores that fail to comply.
