New Haven Felon Convicted On Gun Charge

He has 11 felony convictions on his record.

NEW HAVEN, CT — City man Terence Garrett, 46, was sentenced to nearly four years in prison for illegally possessing a loaded handgun.

Garrett sold heroin out of a Shelton Avenue apartment, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. A search warrant was conducted in October 2016 and a .25 caliber pistol was found along with heroin and a scale.

Garrett has 11 felony convictions, four of which are firearm-related. He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon.
