NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven heroin dealer was sentenced to 15 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for his role in a trafficking ring, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.

Investigators used wiretaps, controlled purchases and surveillance to identify members of the ring that had business in the Bronx. Efrain Rolon-Dones, 29, of New Haven helped redistribute heroin to the streets of New Haven, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Two controlled purchases were made from Rolon-Dones in October 2016. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and distribution of, heroin in August 2017.
