New Haven KeyBank Location To Host Food Drive

KeyBank has partnered with Connecticut Food Bank to fight hunger.

NEW HAVEN, CT - Key Bank's Super-Size-Me Food Drive features drop boxes for non-perishable food items at bank locations around the state. The boxes will be available at nine KeyBank locations until Oct. 28. For those unable to bring in food items, KeyBank has also organized an online fund drive.

The drive is the inspiration of KeyBank employee James Trimble, who was a longtime volunteer with the Connecticut Food Bank and made the annual drive a tradition, according to a statement from the company.

"James has been a wonderful volunteer champion for the Connecticut Food Bank," said Bernie Beaudreau, CEO of the Connecticut Food Bank. "Since beginning of this project in 2013, he has raised enough food and funds to provide nearly 16,000 meals."

The boxes are located at KeyBank branches in Branford, Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, Norwalk, Old Saybrook, Putnam, Shelton and Stamford.
