New Haven Man Assaults Woman In Milford Mall Parking Lot: Police

MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man is accused of assaulting a woman in the parking lot of the Connecticut Post Mall, 1201 Boston Post Road, according to Milford Police. On March 20, Geovanni Mendez, 21, of Dover Street was arrested on a warrant, police said.

He is accused of striking a woman in the face several times and breaking her cell phone during a verbal argument on March 3 while in the mall's parking lot, police said.

He is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.
