New Haven Man Banned From Milford Mall Found Trespassing And Possessed Cocaine: Police

Police say the man had been banned from the mall just a day prior to being found trespassing.

MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man that had already been banned from the Connecticut Post Mall is accused of trespassing and police say he was in possession of cocaine. On Sept. 18, officers responded to the Connecticut Post Mall at 1201 Boston Post Road on a trespassing report, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Shawn Powell, 30, of Grand Avenue, who is accused of trespassing on the property of the mall, which he was banned from the previous day, police said. Further investigation showed Powell to be in possession of cocaine, police said.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal trespass. He was given a court date of Oct. 17.
