New Haven Man Drove At Cops, Crashed: PD
His vehicle was sent airborne during a crash, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested Oct. 28 after he drove his vehicle at officers in an attempt to escape arrest, according to police.
Orange Police contacted New Haven Police about a stolen car that was located by GPS at the summit of East Rock, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
The silver Subaru operator drove at an officer whose vehicle was blocking the summit parking lot exit, Hartman said. The driver then hit a boulder near the cruiser, which sent the vehicle airborne. The vehicle landed about 30 feet away in a ditch.

Armando Rodriguez, 24, of Dover Street was placed in handcuffs, but was taken to the hospital when he complained of pain.
Rodriguez was charged with criminal attempt to commit assault in the 2nd degree, criminal attempt to commit assault on a police officer, interfering with a police officer, engaging in a pursuit, reckless driving. reckless endangerment 1st degree and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

He will also face charges from Orange Police as well.
