New Haven Man Led Milford Police Officers In Pursuit: Police

Police say the man engaged police officers in pursuit onto I-95.

MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man is accused of engaging Milford police officers in pursuit, police said. On Sept. 2, officers took custody of David Collins, 45, of Russell Street in New Haven in regards to an active warrant for his arrest, police said.

Collins is accused of failing to pull his vehicle over when signaled to do so by an officer on Aug. 17, police said. Collins then engaged police in pursuit on Interstate 95 for a period of time, police said. He is charged with reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 26.
