New Haven Man Pleads Guilty After Fatal Overdose
A man pleaded guilty to a drug charge following a fatal Shelton overdose.

SHELTON, CT — A New Haven man pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin in federal court Wednesday. The charge stemmed from a fatal overdose that occurred on April 27, 2017 in a Shelton residence, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.
A 34-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the Shelton residence. Heroin and the victim's phone were seized as evidence.
On April 28 the victim's phone received a message from Corey Senior, 26, and an officer posing as the victim arranged a purchase of heroin. Senior was arrested later that day when he arrived at the victim's residence in possession of heroin, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Further investigation revealed Senior provided heroin to the victim shortly before her death. He was arrested May 16 on federal charges and faces a maximum prison term of 20 years.
