New Haven Man Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison On Gun Charges
The man was involved in a murder in New Haven, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

NEW HAVEN, CT — City man Kavon Rogers, 30, of New Haven was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison on racketeering and firearm offenses.
The sentence comes after investigation of the Red Side Guerrilla Brims gang that was responsible for narcotics trafficking, murders, robberies and assaults, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.
The gang transported drugs to Bangor, Maine and sold them in surrounding communities.

Rogers drove gang associates as they searched for a rival gang leader to murder, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. Donnell Allick was killed in 2011. Rogers was arrested in 2014 on an unrelated investigation where he was found in possession of a stolen .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun.
He pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in a pattern of racketeering and one count of possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon.

A total of 21 members and associates of RSGB were convicted on federal charges. Seven murder cases, four attempted murders and four armed robberies were solved as part of the investigation.
