New Haven Man Stabbed Male During Fight: Naugatuck Police

Police say the accused has been held in lieu of bond.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A New Haven man is accused of stabbing a man in Naugatuck, police said. At about 4:41 a.m. on March 31 the Naugatuck Police Department received a 911 call reporting an altercation outside 206 Spring Street.

The caller also reported one of the men involved had a knife, police said. When the police arrived, they found two males fighting in the parking lot, police said. One male was in possession of a knife and the other was found to have a stab wound to the chest, police said.

After an investigation, Michel Adjei, 26, of New Haven was arrested. He was charged with aggravated assault and held on bond. Adjei will appear in Waterbury Superior on Monday, April 2.

The victim suffered a serious injury and was treated at Waterbury Hospital, police said. Officers recovered a knife at the scene and interviewed several witnesses. The initial argument and altercation appears to have been over a domestic situation involving another resident in the Parkview Apartments complex, police said. No further details are available at this time, police said.
