New Haven Man Tries To Cash Fraudulent Check At Bank: Milford PD
Police say they responded to the bank on a reported larceny recently.

MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man is accused of trying to fraudulently cash a check at a bank in Milford, police said. On Oct. 17, police responded to People's United Bank, 1364 East Town Road on a report of an attempted larceny.
Officers arrived and spoke with bank staff who said a man who recently opened an account at the bank attempted to cash a fraudulent check, police said.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jamar Brooks, 19, of Lombard Street, who was found at his home in New Haven, police said. Brooks is accused of trying to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $648.75 at the bank, police said.

He is charged with third-degree forgery and criminal attempt to commit fifth-degree larceny.
