New Haven Men Charged With Home Invasion In West Haven: Police
Two men have been charged and police are searching for a third suspect in connection to a violent home invasion in West Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Two New Haven residents have been charged in connection to a home invasion in West Haven last fall and police are still searching for a third suspect in the crime. The arrests stem from a home invasion that occurred on Alling Street on Oct. 11. Police said that a couple was returning home at about 10 p.m. when they were approached by three men in their driveway and forced inside their home.
The residents were pistol-whipped and pushed to the floor during the incident. Both were robbed of their wallet, purse and cellphones before the suspects fled, police said.
Dakari Harper, 19, of Button Street New Haven and Bries Beckford, 19, of Newhall Street in New Haven, were arrested following an investigation. Both were charged with home invasion, first-degree robbery, criminal use of a weapon, larceny and assault.

Police said both suspects were already incarcerated for previous crimes and were additionally charged with this incident.
