New Haven Police Department Employee Arrested In Stratford: PD

The woman was arrested on a warrant in connection to a theft at BJ's, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A Milford woman, who is an employee of the New Haven Police Department, is accused of stealing a computer monitor from BJ’s in Stratford, according to Stratford Police. The theft occurred at BJ’s, located at 955 Ferry Boulevard in Stratford, on Aug. 18.

Police say Jennifer McDermott, 38, of Milford, turned herself in on an arrest warrant at Stratford Police headquarters on Sept. 20.

McDermott was charged with sixth-degree larceny and was released on a $495 bond, according to police. She was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 29, according to police.
