New Haven Police Investigate 3 Weekend Shootings
Two 33-year-old men and a 34-year-old man, all from New Haven, were shot in incidents Friday and Saturday, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Three weekend shootings are under investigation, police said.
In all cases, the people who were shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries with two listed in stable condition, according to New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway.
Shumway said that on Friday just before 4 p.m., police got a Shotspotter alert and 911 calls about gunfire and a person who'd been shot on George Street, between Norton Street and Derby Avenue. Police found a 33-year-old New Haven man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.

On Saturday morning, around 8 a.m., police got a Shotspotter alert and 911 calls about gunfire and a person who'd been shot on Ward Street, between Davenport and Sylvan avenues. In a repeat Friday's shooting, cops found a a 33-year-old New Haven man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
Later that day, and in the same neighborhood, police got 911 calls just before 6 p.m. alerting them to a gunshot victim on Stevens Street, between Davenport and Sylvan avenues. When police arrived they learned that a 34-year-old New Haven man had taken a private vehicle to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Shumway said.
