New Haven Schools Evacuated After Gas Leak
Several roads are closed in the city as crews work on fixing a gas leak.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Motorists and pedestrians are being asked to avoid streets in the Whitney Avneue and Canner Street area due to a gas leak.
The leak is generally within the blocks of Canner Street to Prospect Street to Highland Street to Whitney Avenue to Cold Spring Street to Livingston Street, and back to Canner Street, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
Within that grid, Loomis Place, St. Ronan Street, Autumn Street, Whitney Avenue, Everit Street and Livingston Street are closed.

Area schools have been evacuated.
