New Haven Sentenced In Woodbridge Gun Shop Burglary
He also threatened several people involved in the case, according to prosecutors.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — A man involved in the burglary of A Woodbridge gun shop was sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison.
Michael Henderson, 26, of New Haven was involved in the burglary of four handguns June 17, 2015. A stolen car was used to ram through the front of the store.
Henderson's fingerprint was found on a bottle of cologne inside the car and his DNA was found on the car's passenger-side door handle. Henderson tried to acquire .32 and .38 caliber ammunition in the days after the burglary, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.

A 9mm handgun stolen during the burglary was found during an unrelated search of co-conspirator Eric Lewis-Joyner's Hamden residence. The three other guns weren't recovered.
Henderson was arrested Oct. 30, 2015. While detained he made threats against an ATF agent, a U.S. magistrate judge and a witness in the case. He also gave a prison guard a concussion during an assault.

Henderson pleaded guilty to one count of making a false statement to ATF, threft of a firearm from a licensed arms dealer and other gun crimes. He was also ordered to pay more than $52,000 in restitution.
