NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a 24-year-old city man was shot several times in the area of Fountain Street and Lakeview Terrace June 16 around 10:35 p.m.
A motorist stopped officers who were on the way to the reported gunfire scene and said a man was in his car suffering from a gunshot wound. The good Samaritan said he was taking the man to the hospital, according to Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. Police called for an ambulance.
The man was shot several times and was in stable condition after being treated at the hospital.
