New Haven Stabbing Investigated
A man went to the hospital after being stabbed during what he thought was a robbery.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a city man was cut by a knife-wielding assailant Jan. 28.
The victim told detective he was walking on Baldwin Street when he was confronted by two men. One of the men began fighting with the victim, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. He was cut several times before the men fled.
The victim believed he was the target of a robbery. He sustained wounds to his temple and defensive wounds to his hands. He walked to a nearby hospital for treatment. Nothing was taken from him during the incident.
