New Haven Woman Charged After Road Rage Incident: Hamden PD
A man is accused of placing his hand on a firearm while arguing with a female motorist, police said.

HAMDEN, CT — An East Haven man is accused of threatening a woman in Hamden in an apparent road rage incident, police said. At 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Whitney Avenue on the report of an assault, Police Capt. Ronald Smith said.
Investigation revealed that Elizabeth Dejesus and Edmund Balisciano were engaged in a verbal dispute, police said. Dejesus reported that Balisciano exited his motor vehicle and “yelled” at her, police said. They continued to argue about “bad driving habits," police said.
Dejesus reported that Balisciano threatened her, while placing his hand on a firearm, which was located inside of his vehicle, police said. Balisciano subsequently left the area.

Shortly thereafter, East Haven Police located Balisciano at his residence. Hamden Police responded to East Haven to continue the investigation. Balisciano was arrested and transported to Hamden Police Headquarters.

Edmund Balisciano, 60, of Russo Avenue, East Haven. He was charged with Threatening in the 1st Degree and Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree. Balisciano, who was released after posting a $500 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on December 29, 2017.
Elizabeth Dejesus, 34, of 666 Ferry Street, 3rd floor, New Haven. She was charged with Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree. Dejesus was released on a written promise to appear.
