Obit: Mary Amarante, 94, Of New Haven

Mary G. Amarante, 94, of New Haven, died on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of the late Frank Amarante. She was born in New Haven on March 27, 1924 to the late Anthony and Madeline DeCapua Luciano. She worked as a Seamstress for Schwartz Manufacturing Company for many years. Mary adored her family. She loved cooking, crocheting and reading. She is survived by a son Anthony F. (Joanne) Amarante of Guilford, a daughter Lucy Prokop of New Haven, a son-in-law John Prokop of Delray Beach, FL, a sister, Ann (Anthony) Panico of New Haven, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a true angel and will remain in their hearts forever.

Funeral will leave the East Haven Memorial Longobardi – Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708,Tuesday morning at 10:30 for a funeral mass in St. Vincent dePaul Church at 11 am.
