Obituary: Erica Jean Mullings, 33, of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home): Erica Jean Mullings, 33, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Friday, October 9, 2020. Born onAugust 24, 1987, in New Haven, CT., the beloved daughter of Lazelle Bethea (Knight) Mullings and thelate Donald Keith Mullings.

She was educated in the New Haven public school system and attended Southern Connecticut University. She worked as a certified nurse’s aide at St. Raphael’s Hospital, Branford Hills and Arden House Convalescent Home.

She leaves behind a son, Abel David Dortche, a brother Count Branham of Baltimore Maryland and a sister, Kera Mullings Boone (Charles) of Atlanta,Georgia.

Also survived by nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by an older brother Lynwood Hill Branham Jr. She will be greatly missed.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 23, 2020, in the evening at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, from 4-7pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 24, 2020, at Hamden Plains Cemetery, Circular Avenue in Hamden at 10 am.
