Obituary: Iris Maria Díaz López, 44, Of New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home): Iris Maria Díaz López, 44 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Iris was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on April 24, 1976, a beloved daughter of Angel Manuel Díaz Reyes and Diana Elba López Pellot, and had resided in New Haven for the past thirty two years.

She had worked in the elderly care profession as a homecare companion prior to her illness. In addition to her parents, Iris is survived by four daughters, Somary Díaz López and Franchesca Albino López of New Haven, Kaishla Albino López of Holyoke, MA and Estel Albino Díaz of West Haven, one son, Tito Emanuel Cruz of Perth Amboy, NJ, one sister, Sonia Díaz López of Ricon, Puerto Rico, two brothers, Angel Manuel Díaz López of West Springfield, MA and Victor Manuel Díaz López of New Haven, four grandchildren, Jenovisia Cruz, Isabela Soto Díaz, Sofia Benítez Díaz and Naviah Huertas, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Iris will take place in Moca, Puerto Rico at a later date.
