Obituary: ​John M. McLaughlin, 33, of New Haven

He was a 2002 graduate of Branford High School where he was the captain of the football team.

John M. McLaughlin of New Haven, formerly of Branford, died suddenly on Tuesday December 19, 2017 at his home. John was born in New Haven February 28, 1984, beloved son of Kim Miller McLaughlin of Branford and the late Max McLaughlin. He was a 2002 graduate of Branford High School where he was the captain of the football team.

He worked as a solutions architect for Zones, Inc. John was a loving, caring friend to many and was much loved by all who knew him. Besides his mother, John is survived by his sister, Jill McLaughlin (Chris) Burns of Southington; his brother, Josh McLaughlin of West Haven; his nieces, Taylor Marie and Briana Rose “Pickle” Burns, whom he adored, and his uncles, Les (Dawn) Miller, Doug (Linda) Chmielecki, and Richard (Annette) Miller.

Friends may call Friday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a celebration of his life at the Italian-American Club, Hamre Lane, Branford, immediately following the visitation.
