John P. Esposito Jr, 89, of Wallingford, loving husband of 64 years to Rosemarie (Webster) Esposito, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 at Masonicare.

He was born in New Haven on March 31, 1929, the son of the late John Esposito Sr.

He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a police officer for the New Haven Police Department for 36 years until his retirement in 1990. He was an avid New York Yankees fan who loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Rosemarie, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Bonini and her husband, John, of Wallingford; his son, Michael Esposito and his wife, Roseann, of Bethany; his grandchildren, Christopher, John, Matthew, and Michelle Bonini; Jason and Mark Esposito; and his great grandchildren, Adriana, Kaitlyn, Leo and Henry.
