Obituary: José Reinaldo Rodríguez, Jr., 65, of New Haven
Jose, a loving and devoted family man, worked for Lender's Bagel Co. and Something Sweet Bakery of New Haven for many years.
NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) José Reinaldo Rodríguez, Jr., 65 of New Haven died peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 24, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of thirty six years to Marta Tirado Rodríguez. José was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on November 5, 1955, a son of the late José Reinaldo Rodríguez, Sr. and the late Virginia Rodríguez and was a lifelong New Haven resident.
He worked at the former Lender's Bagel Co. for twenty six years and then for Something Sweet Bakery of New Haven for ten years until 2010.

In addition to his wife Marta, José is survived by two daughters, Jennifer and Arabeliz Rodríguez, a son, José Reinaldo Rodriguez, III, four sisters, Rosa, Nelida and Lizette Rodríguez and Sandra (Felix) Santos, all of New Haven, two brothers, Miguel Rodríguez of Guayama, and Rafael Rodríguez of Tampa, FL, and six grandchildren.
He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

José's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
