Obituary: Marilyn González, 58, of New Haven
Marilyn worked as a High School Spanish teacher in the New Haven Public School System for many years.
NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Marilyn González, 58 of New Haven died peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Marilyn was born in New Haven on August 21, 1962, a daughter of the late Felipe and Alcadia González, and was a lifelong New Haven resident.
She received her teaching degree from South Central Community College, and went on to teach High School Spanish in the New Haven Public School System, primarily at Career High School. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Diane González, NHPD Retired of New Haven, two brothers, Isaac (Maria) González of Green Acres, FL and Philip (Hilda) González, NHFD Retired of Loxahatchee, FL.

She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Ortiz and a brother, Eliud González.
Marilyn's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
