Pepe's Adds New Pizza To Lineup
The famous New Haven restaurant is serving a new kind of pizza.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is now offering a new kind of mouth-watering pie: meatball and ricotta pizza. The restaurant recently began serving the pizza, which is made with 100% all natural meatballs, ricotta cheese, crushed Italian tomatoes, mozzarella, grated pecorino Romano and drizzled with olive oil.
Pepe's has 11 locations across the Northeast with a 12th planned location coming to Maryland. Pepe's is famous for its coal-fired, New Haven-style pizza cooked at between 800 and 900 degrees which gives the pizza the signature crispy yet chewy, delicious crust.
Pepe Pizzeria was founded in 1925 at 163 Wooster St. by Italian immigrant Frank Pepe. The restaurant consistently ranks high in national pizza "best of" lists. For the past three years Pepe's has been ranked number 1 on The Daily Meal's 101 Best Pizzas in America list.
