Person Shot While Driving Stolen Vehicle: Police
A female was shot in New Haven while driving a vehicle stolen from Hamden, according to police.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A person was shot in New Haven while driving a vehicle stolen from Hamden, according to police.
New Haven police received a ShotSpotter alert around 11:45 p.m. Thursday at Legion Avenue and Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, authorities said. The female victim approached emergency medical personnel moments later in the 100 block of Davenport Avenue and was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital to receive treatment for a gunshot wound to the hip that was not life-threatening, according to police.
The stolen vehicle was towed for processing, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 203-946-6304 or anonymously leave a tip at 866-888-8477.
