NEW HAVEN, CT — After learning that a white Nissan Rogue driving recklessly in the East Shore neighborhood at around 3 in the morning Sunday was stolen, officers tried to stop the car, New Haven police said.
The driver, Hector Delgado, 18, jumped out and took off on foot, police spokesperson Scott Shumway said, and while being chased by cops on foot, ditched a gun.
Police caught him "a short time later and a semi-automatic handgun was recovered," Shumway said.
