School Bus Runs Over Student's Foot: New Haven PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — A student was sent to the hospital after a school bus ran over his foot Tuesday morning.

The 14-year-old student stepped into the roadway as the bus approached on Ellsworth Avenue. He boarded the bus and traveled for several blocks before telling the driver about the injury.

The student was transported to the hospital via ambulance, said Capt. Anthony Duff, New Haven Police spokesman. He sustained swelling and bruising to his foot and is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
