SCSU Students Carjacked In New Haven: PD

The vehicle was later found unoccupied.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after four Southern Connecticut State University students reported being carjacked at the Gulf gas station on Fitch Street.

Police were dispatched around 10 p.m. Sept. 7. The four young men pulled into the gas station and one went inside to make a purchase while three waited in the vehicle. The men in the car saw a white man being chased by a black man, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

The black man then confronted the three sitting in the car and had a long-barreled chrome revolver. The men in the car got out and the armed man sped off toward Whalley Avneue.
