WATCH: State Trooper Under Investigation After Video Surfaces
A state trooper is under investigation after this video was posted that shows the Trooper exhibiting disturbing behavior.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A state trooper is the subject of an internal investigation following the posting of a video on YouTube showing disturbing behavior, according to a statement from State Police. He has also been moved to an administrative capacity that does not allow him to interact with the public.
"We hold our Troopers to high standards and the behavior displayed in the video is not reflective of the vales of Commissioner (James) Rovella or (Colonel Stavros Mellekos's) administration," the statement reads.
The statement also notes that troopers are dealing with "extreme stress" during the pandemic.

"While not an excuse, we are sensitive to this and also referred the trooper to our employee assistance program," the statement reads.
The trooper is seen in a YouTube video titled "State trooper threatens to throw me off bridge while in handcuffs," acting belligerently toward a man who had been pulled over for speeding. The driver asked the trooper in the video why he was being pulled over, and the trooper responded by going on a profanity-laced tirade.
