The 25th Anniversary OF The National Iwo Jima Memorial
Was On The 75th Anniversary Of The Iwo Jima Flag Raising!
The event took place at the National Iwo Jima Memorial in Newington Ct. There was also a display of a 48 Star Flag that was donated:
The event was followed by a Reunion Of The Iwo Jima Survivors at the Newington Fire Department. The Reunion was celebrated on both Saturday and Sunday at the Fire Station. Many survivors and their family members from across the country attended both events. The Iwo Jima WWII Museum were also at both events.
