Bullets Sprayed On Newington Home Monday Morning: Police
The incident comes less than a year after gunfire hit the bed of a 9-year-old Newington boy inside his home.
NEWINGTON, CT — For the second time in a year, a Newington home has been riddled with bullets, according to the Newington Police Department Monday.
And, for the second time in a year, no one was injured in the incident, police said.
Newington Police Sgt. Ryan Deane said Monday morning that police are investigating an incident that happend on Robbins Avenue near Main Street in town.

He said gunshots were fired into the house early Monday morning, with people inside, but no one hit.
Deane said the incident happened at 3:36 a.m. Monday and police are "following up on investigative leads to identify the suspects."

This is the second such incident to happen in Newington in a year.
In July 2022, gunshots were sprayed at a home on John Street in Newington, striking a child's bed.
Thankfully, however, the 9-year-old boy in his bedroom at the time wasn't hit.
On March 24, Newington police announced the arrest of a New Britain man in connection with that incident.
Meanwhile, the investigation into what happened Monday morning continues.
