Hartford Man Charged With Threatening To Bomb Newington Dispensary: PD
The incident came via an online order back in April and the suspect was charged Wednesday.

NEWINGTON, CT — Local police Thursday announced the arrest of a Hartford man believed responsible for an online bomb threat at a Newington pot dispensary.
The Newington Police Department said Michael Laroy Williams, 34, of Hartford, was charged in connection with the April 24 incident against the Fine Fettle Dispensary at 2280 2280 Berlin Turpike.
Police said Williams was charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.

According to the NPD, Williams was released on a promise to appear and will be arraigned in New Britain Superior Court July 27.
Police said Williams is believed to have made the threat via an online order.

"Officers conducted a comprehensive investigation that led to probable cause to believe Williams was responsible for making the threat through the company’s online ordering system," the NPD wrote in a release Thursday. "Officers applied for an arrest warrant for Williams' arrest which was granted."
The situation caused a few tense moments back in April, when Newington police evacuated the business, as well as surrounding businesses in that area.
This prompted local police to call the Hartford Bomb Squad, which ruled the area safe after a search with a bomb detection dog.
The Fine Fettle Dispensary and neighboring businesses were cleared to resume normal operations after the search that day.
